How to play

About Again?

Again? is an n-back memory game. Shapes appear one at a time and you decide whether each one matches the shape that came one step back, or two or three steps back as it gets harder.

You have to hold the last few shapes in mind and update them every time a new one appears. That is the n-back task that working memory research has used for decades, turned into a quick round.

Tips for a higher score

  • Keep a running list in your head and drop the oldest shape each step.
  • Say the shapes quietly: star, ring, star.
  • When the step count goes up, slow down for the first few.
