About Tally

Tally is a fast mental maths game. A sum appears with its answer already filled in, and you decide whether it is true or false: tick or cross.

The wrong answers are near misses, only a little off, so you cannot rely on a quick glance. Sums use adding, taking away and times, and grow from one step to two as you keep scoring.

Tips for a higher score

  • Check the last digit first. If it is wrong, the whole sum is wrong.
  • Estimate the size of the answer before working it out exactly.
  • Remember that times comes before plus and minus in two-step sums.
